Jeff Barton, Owner and Operator of The Wake Academy, has served the international wakeboarding community for over a decade.
Born and raised in Southern New Jersey, he took his passion for wakeboarding and developed it further in San Diego, California. There he became the first dedicated wakeboarding instructor at the Mission Bay Aquatic Center. At the same time he created the Mission Bay Grand Prix Wakeboarding series, the first of its kind in the area, attracting such future stars as Randall Harris, Ricky Gonzales, Jacob and Eddie Valdez to these grass roots events. From there things really took off, as he became a significant player in the wakeboarding industry, as you'll see his list of accomplishments and contributions below.
