MISSION

​Here at WAKE, our approaches are geared to support students in being more effective learners. Our program uses executive functioning methodology, coupled with a blended approach of academic coaching and tutoring.

 

WAKE’s system uses rich inquiry-based and authentic real world applications as we target concrete skills students might need to develop proficiency with schoolwork.  

 

Your coach will create a structured and sequential individualized plan to help you acquire and retain underdeveloped grade level standards in an engaging and "you-nique" way.

WORKSHOPS

Tutoring and 

ACADEMIC COACHING:

Tutoring and Strategy Instruction

WAKE tutors focus on concrete skills students might need to keep up with schoolwork and experience success on assessments. 

Self-Management Support

Individualized Plan 

We will create structured and sequential individualized plans to acquire and retain underdeveloped grade level standards. Our coaches formatively assess skill development on a regular basis and maintain portfolios to document children's progress.

Engaging Multi-sensory Instruction

July:

Summer Motivation Makeover Series is for middle and high school students. This is a 3 part series in which participants will be coached through reflecting, rebooting their thinking, setting goals, and creating their own action plan for success.

August:

Multiplication Boot Camp is a week-long experience of fact learning and fluency building. Scholars in grades 4th-6th will build automaticity using rhythm, rhymes, and visualization. 

​

Back to School Series is a 3 part series on organization, study skills, and strategies to increase effectiveness and productivity.
